New River Gorge Bridge Day and Chili Cook-off
October 15, 2011 - October 16, 2011

On the third Saturday of October every year, the New River Gorge Bridge closes to traffic and opens to attitude. The public can walk the bridge from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and watch BASE jumping, rappelling, and highline enthusiasts experience some wild, wonderful West Virginia adventure. This year's event will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011. See the complete details for a Bridge Day weekend of fun in Fayetteville at http://www.officialbridgeday.com/

After you walk the New River Gorge Bridge on Bridge Day, make it a full day by spending the afternoon in downtown Fayetteville; stroll through the unique shops and satisfy your hunger and thirst in the locally owned restaurants.

Join us on Court Street for the 3rd Annual Chili and Cornbread Cook-off. Vote for your favorite chili, or better yet, sign up to enter the competition. There are several competition levels available. For more information contact fayettevillewvcvb@yahoo.com or call 304-574-1500.
